Bibiane’s Salsa

A recipe passed down from a dear friend.

  1. Chop all ingredients and combine everything together in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil uncovered over medium heat stirring occasionally.
  3. Boil gently for 60 minutes, stirring until desired consistency.
  4. Close to the end taste to see if more jalapeños (usually only put 3 in), sugar for desired sweetness, salt or other spices.
  5. Fill hot sterilized jars to within 1⁄2 inch of top, seal and cover. Place in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
  6. Makes 5-6 pints.
